“Dental fluorosis (mottling) may result … in fluorides occasionally cause skin eruptions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, or urticaria. Gastric distress, headache, and weakness have also been reported. These hypersensitive reactions usually disappear promptly after discontinuation of the fluoride.”

Fluoride treatments at the dentist’s office use 5,000 to 20,000 ppm fluoride (New York Times headline: $750,000 Given in Child’s Death in Fluoride Case” about a 3-year-old Killed by a Fluoride Treatment at the Dentist’s Office – 1/20/79).

Fluoride toothpastes cause gum damage, or even death if a small child consumes a family-sized tube.

A spokesman for Proctor and Gamble, the makers of Crest, acknowledges that a family-size tube of fluoride toothpaste “theoretically, at least, contains enough fluoride to kill a small child.” Environmental Action, July, Aug. 1984 pp18.

Fluoride in Toothpaste: Is a known poison that must not be ingested. The back panel of a typical tube of toothpaste states: “If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, contact a poison control center immediately.”

Proctor and Gamble has tried to cover up studies that they performed showing that as little as one-half the amount of fluoride added to public water supplies causes genetic damage and that fluoride causes tumors and precancerous growths.

The National Academy of Sciences admitted that up to 80% of the children living in fluoridated areas have dental fluorosis.

Because fluoride has been linked to health problems, the following European countries have banned the practice of adding fluoride to public water supplies: Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

According to The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) “… the health and welfare of the public is not served by the addition of this substance (fluoride) to the public water supply … for which there is virtually no evidence of significant benefits … and substantial evidence of adverse health effects.”
